Industrial School

Under State Council for Vocational Training, 153 self-financed and 21 Aided Private Industrial Schools are functioning in Tamil Nadu. At present 6,663 trainees are undergoing training. Training is offered in 57 trades viz., catering, tailoring, Computer Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and TTC etc., ranging from one year to three years. Candidates with 8th and 10th pass qualification are admitted for training in various trades. Seventeen Industrial Schools are offering Technical Teacher’s Training Certificate Course. Examination is conducted by State Board of Examination for Vocational Training (SBEVT) and SCVT Certificates are issued to the successful candidates. 21 Private Aided Industrial Schools and 10 Private Aided ITI's are receiving maintenance grant from the Government. A sum of Rs.538.13 Lakhs given to the Aided Industrial Schools/ITI's in the financial year 2022-2023.

General Instructions

Carefully read and complete the instructions below before uploading the Industrial Schools Recognition Application through the website.

All the course syllabus can be downloaded from the Trade Syllabus menu.

Before uploading all documents ensure the size of each document noted against.

  1. 1.Building Plan should be in A4 size – (40kb – 50kb jpeg).
  2. 2.Electricity Bill should be downloaded from the concerned website with EB SC Number – (20kb – 30kb jpeg).
  3. 3.Photostat copy of Industrial School recognition order(s) for already affiliated Industrial Schools – (20kb – 30kb jpeg).
  4. 4.Three photos of trades which sought for approval – (40kb – 50kb jpeg).
  5. 5.Scanned copy of the Mandatory Certificates received from the concerned Authority – (15kb – 20kb jpeg).
