Welcome to Industrial Skill Training

Skill Training in Tamil Nadu plays a vital role in bridging the gap between education and employment. The state emphasizes on practical, hands-on training across 104 trades within 23 sectors, including manufacturing, electronics, automotive, information technology, and construction, all aligned with evolving industry needs. A wide network of 132 Government Industrial Training Institutes, 277 Private Industrial Training Institutes, and 152 Industrial Schools offer both long-term and short-term courses. These programs are designed to equip young individuals with industry-relevant skills, enhance employability, and encourage entrepreneurship.The Department of Employment and Training is committed to strengthening the workforce of Tamil Nadu, fostering industrial growth, and contributing to the state’s overall economic development.
