Basic fitting operations
Ability to operate a lathe, milling machine, surface grinding machine, cylindrical grinding machine, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine
Manufacture different types of jigs & fixtures
Manufacture different types of press tools (blanking, piercing, progressive compound tools)
Perform 2Dimensional & 3Dimensional machining using the Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software
Plan & perform simple repairs & overhauling of different machines

Precision & accuracy in measurements
Ability to read and interpret information from design drawings
Fitting and assembly of precision components
Professional skill & knowledge in working with different types of machines
Set (both job & tool) up a CNC machining centre and produce components as per drawings
Simple repair, overhauling of different machines
Fabricate all types of press tools, jigs & fixtures

Apprenticeship (NAC Certificate)
Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) in the Trade to become an instructor in ITIs
Diploma by lateral entry (Full-time/Part-time)
