Installing and setting up operating systems and related software, creating and formatting text, document, and BMP files using Windows accessories, working with spreadsheet applications, and designing presentations using adaptive tools for low vision students.
Setting up scanners, scanning documents and images, creating and editing page layouts combining text and graphics using Adobe InDesign, and creating illustrations and graphics using Adobe Illustrator with accessibility support.
Editing and developing images using Adobe Photoshop, drawing and developing graphic designs using CorelDraw, and familiarizing with networking concepts including internet browsing, downloading, emailing, and practicing network security.
Using online cloud storage and backup systems, establishing requirements for publishing content, and publishing bilingual content using specialized software with assistive technology support for visually impaired trainees.

Ability to review layout and customer orders, enter text using keyboards, scanners, and modems, scan artwork using optical scanners, and accurately position text and illustrations on page grids using DTP software.
Proficiency in creating proper spacing between letters, columns, and lines, arranging pages according to aesthetic standards and graphic designer specifications, and printing paper and film copies of completed materials.
Competence in designing graphics for commercial and promotional needs including packaging, displays, and logos, determining size and arrangement of illustrative material, and selecting appropriate type styles and sizes.
Skills in altering illustrations to enlarge, reduce, or clarify images, operating automatic film developers, assembling paste-ups, and applying knowledge of typesetting, layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts.

Can work as a Desktop Publishing Operator in printing companies, publishing houses, newspapers, and advertising agencies designing and producing brochures, newsletters, advertisements, and promotional materials.
Can find employment as a Graphic Designer in media companies, digital marketing agencies, packaging industries, and e-commerce firms creating logos, banners, social media graphics, and visual content.
Can join government printing presses, inclusive education publishers, and bilingual content development organizations handling DTP work, typesetting, and publication of books and official documents.
Can become a self-employed freelance graphic designer or DTP operator offering design and publishing services to businesses, NGOs supporting disability inclusion, and content creators through digital platforms.

Can pursue a Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology from UGC recognized institutions to gain advanced knowledge in digital publishing, graphic arts, and printing technology for career advancement.
Can join the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) to become a certified ITI instructor in the Desktop Publishing Operator trade, with preference given to instructors trained in sign language under DGT.
Can pursue advanced certifications in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro to qualify for senior graphic designer and creative director positions in media industry.
Can obtain specialized training in assistive technology, UI/UX design for accessibility, digital content creation, or web design to expand career opportunities and contribute to inclusive digital content development.
