Installing and setting up operating systems and related software, creating and formatting text, document, and BMP files using Windows accessories, working with spreadsheet applications, and designing presentations for different purposes.
Familiarizing with networking concepts including sharing resources, using internet, accessing and browsing, downloading, emailing, and practicing network security measures for safe computer operations.
Operating computer systems and peripheral equipment including tape drives, printers, and data communication equipment, entering commands, observing error messages, correcting stoppages, and recording operational problems.
Installing, maintaining, and updating computer programs under guidance, maintaining program documentation, designing and maintaining web-based applications, and creating user interfaces for computer programs and databases.

Ability to operate computers and peripheral equipment according to operating instructions, load materials like tapes and printer paper, enter commands using keyboards, and integrate equipment for smooth data processing operations.
Proficiency in observing error messages on computer monitors, entering correction commands, notifying supervisors of equipment stoppages, clearing equipment after operating runs, and reviewing schedules for next assignments.
Competence in researching, testing, and evaluating data communications hardware and software, identifying areas needing upgraded equipment, analyzing test data, and recommending hardware and software for organizational purchase.
Skills in developing installation procedures for communications hardware and software, monitoring system performance, training users in equipment use, assisting users to solve data communication problems, and performing minor equipment repairs.

Can work as a Computer Operator in banks, government offices, hospitals, educational institutions, and corporate companies handling data processing, peripheral equipment operation, and system monitoring tasks.
Can find employment as a Programming Assistant in IT companies, software development firms, and technology startups maintaining and updating computer programs and installation documentation under professional guidance.
Can join web development companies, digital agencies, and e-commerce firms as a Web Developer or UI Developer designing and maintaining web-based applications, websites, and user interface solutions.
Can work as a Network Administrator or Data Communication Analyst in IT infrastructure companies, telecom firms, and corporate organizations managing network hardware, software evaluation, and system performance monitoring.

Can pursue a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications from UGC recognized institutions or obtain NIELIT A or B Level certifications for advanced qualifications.
Can join the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) to become a certified ITI instructor in the Computer Operator and Programming Assistant trade after gaining required industry experience under DGT.
Can pursue specialized certifications in web development frameworks, network administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, or database management to meet growing demands of the modern IT industry.
