Understanding rubber plantation processes, sheet making, testing field latex for dry rubber content, applying coagulation, sheeting, drying, grading of sheet rubber, and explaining continuous centrifuging and creaming of field latex.
Performing synthetic rubber manufacturing, mixing techniques, rubber compounding with full ingredients, determining cure time using Rheometer, preparing rubber blends like NR/SBR and NR/PB, and reclaiming waste rubber products.
Preparing dipped products using latex compounds, moulding using plaster of Paris, preparing latex foam, vulcanization, washing, drying, preparing tyre tread compounds, and manufacturing microcellular rubber, hoses, gaskets, seals, and gloves.
Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining calendering machines, extruding machines, and other rubber industry equipment, conducting testing for abrasion resistance, hardness, swelling index, compression resistance, heat build-up, and flexing.

Ability to coordinate with team members and assist operators and supervisors in carrying out activities as per production processes and ensuring set standards are achieved within the work area.
Proficiency in operating calendering machines to convert rubber into sheets, adjusting steam valves, setting thickness gauges, testing product thickness, and supervising helpers in loading and unloading material.
Competence in operating rubber extruding machines, selecting and fitting dies, adjusting extrusion speed, verifying dimensions of extruded rubber with gauges and callipers, and synchronizing conveyor belt speed with extrusion speed.
Skills in testing TSR based on specification parameters including dirt content, volatile matter, ash, nitrogen, plasticity, and Plasticity Retention Index, and maintaining production machines observing safety aspects.

Can work as a Junior Rubber Technician or Technical Assistant in rubber manufacturing companies, tyre industries, and rubber goods production units assisting supervisors in production processes.
Can find employment as a Calender Machine Operator or Extruding Machine Operator in rubber sheet manufacturing plants, hose manufacturing units, and rubber tyre and tube production facilities.
Can join latex product manufacturing companies producing gloves, dipped goods, foam products, and industrial rubber components for automotive, healthcare, and construction sector applications.
Can work in rubber testing laboratories, quality control departments, and rubber compounding units handling testing, grading, and quality assurance of rubber materials and finished products.

Can pursue a Diploma or Degree in Rubber Technology from AICTE recognized institutions to gain advanced technical knowledge and qualify for higher positions in rubber manufacturing industry.
Can join the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) to become a certified ITI instructor in the Rubber Technician trade after gaining required industry experience under DGT guidelines.
Can pursue specialized certifications in rubber compounding, tyre technology, latex product manufacturing, or polymer science to meet growing demands of automotive and industrial rubber sectors.
Can obtain advanced training in quality management systems like ISO, IATF 16949, or Six Sigma to advance into quality assurance, process engineering, and supervisory roles in rubber manufacturing organizations.
