DET - ITI Admission

Appraising interior design drawing instruments, drafting geometrical shapes and projections, applying colour schemes, analyzing building materials, and drawing residential plans with necessary working drawings.
Drawing furniture designs, staircases, doors, windows, one-point and two-point perspective views, and applying basic knowledge of structural parts of buildings using engineering scales and freehand sketches.
Creating 2D objects using CAD tools and commands, drawing false ceilings, flooring, carpentry joints, partition walls, plumbing and drainage details, and electrical and lighting layout plans using CAD software.
Drawing air conditioning layouts, commercial interiors using CAD and other software, analyzing paints, polish and varnish, and preparing PowerPoint presentations with animation for client presentations.

Ability to plan, design, and estimate residential and commercial interiors with colour schemes, space planning, layout utilization, and selection of suitable materials with aesthetic and functional value.
Proficiency in reading and drawing interior drawings using measuring instruments, creating sketches, diagrams, and paste-ups, and presenting design proposals to clients for approval and feedback.
Competence in coordinating with architects and civil engineers, managing timelines, recommending paints, polishes, air conditioners, indoor plants, and executing interior decoration and furnishing concepts.
Skills in designing furniture as per anthropometrics, selecting natural and man-made wood products, preparing manufacturing specifications, and using interior design software for creating detailed design plans.

Can work as an Interior Designer in architectural firms, construction companies, real estate developers, and interior design studios handling residential and commercial interior planning and decoration projects.
Can find employment as a Decorator coordinating with architects and civil engineers to execute interior design concepts for hotels, offices, hospitals, retail outlets, and entertainment spaces.
Can join furniture manufacturing companies and modular kitchen firms as a Furniture Designer creating custom furniture designs as per client requirements and current market trends.
Can become a self-employed entrepreneur by starting an interior design and decoration consultancy offering complete interior solutions for residential, commercial, and hospitality sector clients.

Can pursue a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design and Decoration, Architecture, or Civil Engineering from AICTE recognized institutions for advanced professional qualifications and career growth.
Can join the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) to become a certified ITI instructor in the Interior Design and Decoration trade after gaining required experience under DGT guidelines.
Can pursue advanced training in 3D visualization software like SketchUp, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, or Revit to enhance design presentation skills and meet growing demands of the industry.
Can obtain certifications in sustainable interior design, LEED green building standards, or luxury interior styling to qualify for premium residential, hospitality, and commercial interior design projects globally.
