Identifying vehicle components, driving in conformance to standard practices, following traffic regulations, maintaining good road conduct, and complying with environment regulations and workshop housekeeping.
Ensuring road worthiness through pre-operational checks, between-journey checks, and end-of-journey inspections to maintain vehicle safety and performance at all times.
Performing daily maintenance and inspection of vehicles, carrying out checks of vehicle aggregates, checking ignition circuit functioning, and conducting general servicing of vehicle components.
Checking wheel alignment, performing wheel rotation, calculating passenger fares and freight costs, handling statutory documents, and understanding regulations for transporting hazardous goods.

Ability to drive Light Motor Vehicles safely and efficiently on public and private roads following all traffic rules, regulations, and safety measures while transporting passengers and goods.
Proficiency in vehicle maintenance including pre-start checks, timely manufacturer-recommended servicing, achieving good fuel efficiency, and ensuring better tyre life for economical vehicle operation.
Competence in collecting and discharging passengers or goods at correct locations as per schedules, communicating fares and freight charges, and maintaining proper records and statutory documents.
Skills in maintaining politeness with passengers, handling stress, maintaining physical and mental fitness, and building good relationships with crew members and other road users.

Can work as a Light Motor Vehicle Driver in transport companies, logistics firms, courier services, and taxi or cab aggregator platforms transporting passengers and goods.
Can find employment as a company driver in corporate organizations, hotels, hospitals, schools, and government departments requiring dedicated vehicle drivers with maintenance knowledge.
Can join fleet management companies, car rental services, and travel agencies as a driver cum mechanic handling both driving responsibilities and basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
Can become a self-employed entrepreneur by operating own taxi, goods vehicle, or transport service catering to local and outstation passenger and freight requirements.
