Identifying occupational health and safety procedures in dental laboratories, weighing metals and alloys, measuring temperature, understanding melting points, and applying correct voltage systems for dental equipment operation.
Manipulating gypsum products, dental cements, dental waxes, impression materials, and base materials, along with making diagnostic and master casts, special trays, occlusal rims, and articulating casts.
Performing teeth setting, denture processing, repairing and relining broken dentures, fabricating retentive and active components of orthodontic appliances, and carving maxillary and mandibular teeth.
Constructing removable and fixed partial dentures, fabricating temporary acrylic jacket crowns, full metal crowns, metal bridges, copings, and porcelain fused to metal crowns using fixed prosthodontics equipment.

Proficiency in selecting and handling various dental alloys, metals, and materials for fabricating accurate and high-quality dental prostheses as per dentist specifications.
Ability to fabricate complete and partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, crowns, and bridges with precision using gypsum, waxes, impression materials, and dental cements.
Competence in duplication of casts, surveying removable partial dentures, applying occlusion concepts, and preparing dies for fixed partial dentures and full metal restorations.
Skills in fabricating porcelain fused to metal crowns, mock-up of anterior crowns, welding appliances, and operating specialized dental laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.

Can work as a Dental Laboratory Equipment Technician in private dental clinics, hospitals, and specialized dental laboratories fabricating prostheses, crowns, bridges, and orthodontic appliances.
Can find employment in dental manufacturing companies producing commercial dental prosthetics, implants, orthodontic devices, and crowns for supply to dental clinics and hospitals.
Can join government hospitals, dental colleges, and armed forces medical establishments as a qualified dental laboratory technician supporting dentists and dental surgeons.
Can become a self-employed entrepreneur by setting up an independent dental laboratory offering fabrication services for crowns, dentures, orthodontic appliances, and fixed prosthetics.

Can pursue a Diploma or Degree in Dental Technology or Dental Laboratory Sciences from recognized institutions to gain advanced knowledge and higher professional qualifications.
Can join the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) to become a certified ITI instructor in the Dental Laboratory Equipment Technician trade under DGT.
Can pursue specialized training under qualified Dental Surgeons and Dental Laboratory Technicians to gain expertise in advanced prosthodontics, implantology, and digital dentistry techniques.
Can obtain certifications in CAD/CAM dental technology, digital smile design, or zirconia crown fabrication to meet modern dental industry demands and enhance career prospects globally.
